BAEC 2006 Showcase Home Gets Underway

Inspired by the success of the 2005 Connecticut Showcase Home which Nort Wheeler and Mike Scarpa recently completed for the HBA of Connecticut, past president Tony Silvestri of Silvestri Development approached the BAEC board with a proposal to do a 2006 Eastern Connecticut Showcase Home.

The BAEC's "Eastern Connecticut Showcase Home" Program highlights the experience, professionalism and high standards of Association Builder and Associate Members. The program is designed to showcase eastern Connecticut's high-value home product to the public and encourage philanthropic gifts to charitable organizations, which are chosen by the builder and approved by the BAEC.

The project will break ground in late August and is expected to be completed on or about June 15, 2006. The proceeds of the open house and other events will be donated to the Connecticut Chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation. Tony is donating three percent of the sale price of the home to BAEC.

Located in the historic district of Old Mystic, Connecticut, this two-story 4,100 s.f.
